The newly opened H2Ochla city swimming area is a new attraction on the map of Zielona Góra, inviting visitors to relax in the heart of a beautiful forest surrounded by key cycling routes and hiking trails.
Owned by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center, the swimming area is located on Botaniczna Street in a 17-hectare forest complex on the road to the village of Ochla, just 4 km from the city center, and right next to the Dzika Ochla reservoir, a popular spot among locals, and at the edge of the Piast Hills, where numerous picturesque cycling and walking trails pass through.
The swimming area, fed by the Pustelnik stream, has undergone a thorough renovation and now features a modern pool, a sandy beach, a beach volleyball court, a professional street workout and cross-fit area, a tartan badminton court, and numerous modern slides of varying lengths and difficulty levels.
The site also includes a modern restaurant, and tickets can be purchased at the ticket counter or from three ticket machines located at the entrance. It's worth noting that ticket prices vary, with discounts available for residents of Zielona Góra and higher prices for out-of-town tourists. Specific rates may change, so please check the swimming area's website for current prices.
There are two large parking lots adjacent to the swimming area—one for cars and vans, and another at the back of the facility for buses.
It's worth mentioning that right across Botaniczna Street from the swimming area, there is the 5.5-hectare Dzika Ochla reservoir, perfect for picnics and fishing, with numerous camping spots, piers, and walking paths.
Next door is Lilowy Las—a favorite spot for walking and relaxation for residents of Zielona Góra's Jędrzychów neighborhood, featuring bike and walking trails as well as a fitness path with pull-up bars, abdominal exercise ladders, balance beams, and other equipment to enhance regular jogging.
