The park in Kiełpin in Zielona Góra is a newly revitalized site offering a range of attractions for both adults and children as part of the famous Lubuskie Wine and Honey Trail.
Located at the entrance to Kiełpin (now a district of Zielona Góra), the park features charming walking paths, numerous benches, a small pond with a stream over which hangs a picturesque lovers' bridge made of wood, and several covered shelters with large wooden deck chairs where you can lie down and, for example, read a book enjoying the tranquility and beauty of nature.
The park also has grilling and bonfire areas that are suitable even for large groups, making them ideal for hosting family gatherings or corporate events.
Next to the grilling station and around the bonfire, there are wooden seats where you can roast sausages on appropriately long sticks, and right beside is a sheltered area with a large table where you can comfortably enjoy your meal. There is also access to running water straight from a deep well, allowing convenient meal consumption and washing dishes and hands.
In the Kiełpin park, you'll also find numerous meadows, regularly mowed, which invite you to spread out a blanket for a family picnic among oaks and various shrubs.
The park serves as a mini botanical garden, having many types of trees and shrubs precisely described on relevant plaques, providing an interesting educational attraction for both children and adults. Our most interesting plant in the park was the Japanese pagoda tree, also known as the Japanese sophora—an ornamental tree species originating from China.
In the park, there are numerous nature quizzes in the form of rotating boards with questions and answers about animal life and plant species, ensuring hours of great fun for kids combined with educational benefits. Additionally, there are real beehives in the park where you can observe the life of the bees.
The park features numerous bike stands for convenient bike parking. Due to its immediate proximity to the modern asphalt bike path from Ochla to Zatonie, the park in Kiełpin is particularly popular among cyclists.
There is also a toilet at the park entrance, making it very convenient even for long visits.
